Energy Boost #2

Last week, I shared how I boosted my energy by choosing where to focus my thoughts. This week, I will share one way to work with your hara line, which can also have a significant impact on your energy level. The hara line is a line of energy, light, and intention that is a quantum level deeper than the chakra system. Barbara Brennan, a physicist and healer, describes and illustrates the hara line in her book, Light Emerging. The line (which is actually waves of energy more than a solid line) is connected to the center of the Earth, to the tan tien in the low abdomen, to the soul seat in the upper chest and to the individuation point above the head. Ideally, it is a straight line at the center of the body.

Here is an experiment for you to try: Notice your energy level. If you assign your current energy level a number from 1-10, what is that number in this moment? 1 is similar to lying in bed, without energy to move. 10 is the energy to be able to do all the things you love best.

Now imagine that you have a special place with your name on it at the center of the Earth, where your hara line of energy is plugged in. Ask yourself what color this core energy might be for you today. Notice the first image or word or idea of a color (or colors) that comes to you. Imagine this color or these colors flowing from the center of the Earth, up your hara line, through the center of your body, to a point that is one to three feet above your head. It might remind you of the red line going up in the center of a thermometer (an old-fashioned one). If your hara line seems disrupted or off-center or crooked or outside of your body, invite it back to center and back to wholeness. Ask your (angels, guides, God) to assist in this process.

Now reassess your energy level. Do you get a new number?

This is a simple, effective practice you can do as often as you like. The color(s) may change from day to day. The time it takes to do this exercise will shorten as you practice.

I would love to hear your feedback on how this process works for you!

  1. I really love this and it couldn’t have come at a better time after having a call this morning with AnaLisa (who took Liv’s class as well and one of mine) about wanting more consistent energy in my daily life. Thank you!

  2. Janet, I love your blog post on the hara line. I had not heard of it until this week when I spoke with you. It seems easy and simple to do. Thank you for sharing it and showing us that it can be done with great ease. All that is needed is commitment.

I agree with Michele, I could use a good dose of more consistent energy in my daily life as well.

  3. I love the visual, Janet. I was sitting, all slumped over the computer but now I’m sitting up much straighter, chest out, shoulders down and back naturally.

It will be interesting to tune in to this throughout the day as my positions change. Standing, walking, exercising. Keeping aware of my energy and the hara line.

    • Wonderful observation about your posture changes. One woman said, “I feel tough!” after strengthening her hara line. Blessings to you.

  4. Ha, Susan! Me too! I guess sitting is not so good for my hara line! lol… I am glad you mentioned Barbara Brennan’s work, Janet. I had forgotten about her and this is the perfect thing for me to be learning about right now. Thanks!

    • Amy, It seems to be the perfect thing for EVERYbody (at least my clients, colleagues, friends, students) to be learning right now. It’s really stabilizing. Who doesn’t need that?

  5. I love this.. mine was purple… I am going to continue this great quick alignment.

  6. What a beautiful picture. I felt reassured when I looked. The exercise was like a great cup of tea-refreshing. With gratitude, Tanya

    • Tanya, Thank you. I appreciate the feedback on your experience related to my painting. And glad you found the hara exercise refreshing!

  7. It’s late and I’m fading but I was just intrigued by the descriptions and I’ll give this a shot tomorrow after a decent night’s sleep! Thank you for sharing the information so that we all can absorb it into our selves!
