I didn’t have to wait for

My funeral to see how

Deeply loved I am.

As always, I invite you to comment and/or to write your own haiku (3 lines: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables) about the topic of your choice. See Healer Becomes Heal-ee for more description about my process of using this form of poetry to process my breast cancer recovery.

Comments

  1. Beautiful….here is my attempt at haiku
    unconditional
    forever and always be
    light and love and thee

  2. Oh, I love this. I wish more people understood this and so not only could receive the love offered, but also not be afraid to give it. You inspire me.

  3. I desire nimble
To have less is to have more
    Light and free thats me

Ohhh my first Haiku, I think.

  4. Memories pass by
    Fleeting little things of light
    That are swiftly gone

  5. So nice to know that you’re so blessed. <3

  6. My ditty is an homage to the pie class my pal and I took this past Saturday. I promised to bring the pie to dinner at my mom’s the next day. Imagine our surprise when it turned out to be a 6″ glass pie dish. Would have fed two at most. I was feeding six…

    My pie was so small
    but the laughter created
    made me the winner

  7. Here’s mine…

    How I love the Earth.
It grounds all things, keeps us calm.
    Earth and Sky, deep roots.

  8. Feel it in your soul
    It is magical and real
    Divine light shines bright
