This week I dropped off art quilts for my show, Joy Rushes In, at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing – Unity Hospital. This is located at 480 Osborne Rd NE, Ste 200, Fridley Medical Center, Fridley, MN 55432. The exhibit may be viewed from October 1 to December 29, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The show includes 22 art quilts and 6 haiku. Some of the quilts and all of the haiku were created as a part of my recovery process from breast cancer. I created a Radiant Health Plan for myself, which included art, haiku, energy healing and affirmations. And now I am sharing some of it with you!
The haiku paired with the Joy Rushes In art quilt follows:
Space for my healing. Joy rushes in through the holes Poked, poked by chemo.
Absolutely beautiful! I LOVE the concept of a Radiant Health Plan – I will create one for myself. Sending you light and love during your healing process.
I second that!!!! 22 quilts – wow! Best of luck with your show!!! What a great venue to show these pieces that are of such a personal nature and about a personal journey
I am so pleased and happy for you. Congratulations!
The coolest thing about this project is thinking of all the people that will view this show and be inspired to create their own healing plan. This is very inspiring, Janet. Wow.
